Rules & Regulations

  • Workshops are Continuous Education Training Programs (CET) from Union Yoga Ayurveda, School.
  •  Asanas, Kriya, meditation and whatever practicals done during short courses or workshops can be included as part of field work for long term courses. Theory portion cannot be used for clocking field work.
  • Yoga-Ayurveda needs physical touch and assistance. Anyone signing for workshop or courses should be aware of this point 3. By default, the trainer may physically correct your pose or therapy.
  • If any student doesn’t wants any kind of physical assistance or physical correction, then please inform in writing to teacher / trainer by sms or WhatsApp or email or letter. We will respect your decision and there will be no physical touch or assistance after you have given in writing.
  • We don’t encourage outrage of modesty. But better communication in writing will make things more proper and will help the school to take actions against outrage of modesty.
  • Any workshops signed up by student has maximum time limit of 6 months from date of payment done by student. This means, if a student has signed up for a workshop and he/she has missed the original date of workshop, then he/she can attend same workshop within 6 months by any master or teacher at any venues of Union. We conduct same workshops within 4-6 months again to give second chance to student.
  • The date and time given for workshop will be solely decided by school and teacher based on the availability of trainer and venue. Students getting second chance have to adjust and make timing to fit to that schedule and the venue of workshop. If student cannot fit to that schedule or venue, then its not the mistake or responsibility of school or trainer.
  • Student, whoever have missed the first workshop and wants to attend workshop in second chance, he/she cannot ask for same trainer for second workshop. School has the independence to conduct workshops by any trainers available in school. Second chance onwards, student have to follow whoever trainer/ teacher is available and is conducting the workshop.
  • Student cannot ask for refund or transfer of fees in any other workshop or courses. There is no refund or transfer of fees.
  • As student has signed up for any workshop by one teacher and she/he missed. Then same topic workshop is done by another teacher with less cost / fees, then she can attend another teacher workshop. But the difference in cost will not be refunded and will be considered forfeited in the same workshop. In case, another workshop has extra fees to be paid, then the student has to pay that extra amount after deducting the amount which has been paid previously.
  • If school has not conducted the workshop, as announced previously, for which student has signed up, then school will offer another date. If student has accepted different new date, then that new date will be considered as final date and that acceptance is considered as promise made and accepted by student. If student is not able to attend that new date later, then she/ he cannot ask for refund and there will be no refund. Instead, Point 1 to 5 will be asked to be followed by the student.
  • If school has not conducted the workshop, as announced previously, for which student has signed up, then school will offer another date. If student is not ready for new date and / or has not accepted new date, then full refund of workshop fees will be paid back to student within 30 working days.
  • Registration fees charged by Union is not related to membership fees collected by Yoga Alliance registry or any member school for their registry which have to be paid to them after certification. Student after certification from Union have to register saperately by making saperate payment to them directly.
  • Before signing up for the course, please have a preview of workshop from our trainers and understand full schedule and syllabus and rules – regulation etc.
  • Website, brochure are information materials for public and if in case you have not read the same then school is not responsible for your ignorance and negligence.
  • Signing up of workshop is normally done by WhatsApp / sms by looking into brochure / banner. Doing the payment for workshop by paynow or by Nets or by bank transfer or by cash or in any form is equivalent to declaration that you have understood all criteria and you are aware of the all pros and cons of the workshop and with your full awareness, you are signing up for the course / workshops.
  • All kind of Yoga Ayurveda teaching, training, workshop and therapy can cause certain injuries.
  • Signing up for the workshop / course / class / therapy means that you are aware of the probable injuries.
  • Union Yoga Ayurveda (Union Centre Pte Ltd or Union Wellness Pte Ltd) and it’s staff are not liable or responsible for any injuries caused during the session which are visible or not visible, physical or hormonal or mental.
  • You as client take full responsibility of your own decision and will not claim any kind of compensation in terms of money or any resources for the damage caused because of due process.
  • These rules and regulations are not limited to banners or posters mentioned in website or in social media of Union. Any future workshops conducted by Union Yoga Ayurveda which may not be listed in this website or social media, but as long as the workshop is conducted under the banner of Union Yoga Ayurveda, the rules and regulation mentioned here will be same.

Re-registration of same workshop :

First registration if expires (after 6 months from date of payment done) and student has not completed the workshop, then they need to re-register which may give extra time limit for short term (Max 3months). 50% of the workshop fees have to be paid extra to attend same workshop.

Fixing the date and time of Workshop:

  •  Look at the poster / banner / brochure posted in social media or on WhatsApp group or personal WhatsApp or in any communication material.
  • Link of this page will be given in communication material. Please visit website and read all rules and regulations in workshop page.
  • After looking into your availability, rules-regulations and after discussing with trainer / teacher, do the final payment for workshop.
  •  Once payment is done, then all rules-regulations from point 1 to 25 will be applicable for student and school.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE- FOR RETREATS
  • India is a 3rd world country where we cannot expect development and hygiene to the level of Singapore or any developed country. Some participants may get diarrhea after eating or drinking water in India. Although we do prepare bottled water for you but still there are still chances that participant may get sick. Although we prepare bottled water but still there are chances that student may get sick.

Therefore, we will strongly encourage all participants to buy travel insurance to keep yourself safe.

  • While doing yoga, tracking to hill, during sight seeing or while traveling, participants may get physically hurt or injured by accident. We have no control over injury or accident issues.
  • Although as mentors, we will guide and help you in every way but please ensure that your insurance fully covers your health expenses for accidents during travel.
  • Mobile signals in India may not be strong at all times, so you are recommended to activate your Singapore mobile service provider’s roaming services to get better signal and connection.
  • There may be mosquitoes or insects in some places which is beyond our control. You are encouraged to get insect repellent to protect yourself.
  • Power outage (cut off of electricity) is common in India. Please keep a torch with you at all times. Although the place where we are going is equipped with electric generators and lights but it will be better to standby and keep yourself equipped.
  • Please do not plan any additional sight seeing or leave the group on your own without informing your mentors.
  • If in any case, students don’t get VISA or denied to enter the country or any natural or unnatural cause, then there will be no refund. As the facilities have been booked and we cannot accept cancelation.
  • Union Yoga Ayurveda is mentoring and facilitating the advance retreat as a school. Our intention for the retreat is to give our student participants better exposure. We are not operating in the capacity of a travel agency and we shall not be liable for any kinds of mishappening. Every individual is responsible for their own self.

#1 to #7 above are beyond the control of Union Yoga Ayurveda and it’s mentors. From past retreat experiences, we have been mentoring the retreats and all participants have been safe, not sick and happy in the trips but explaining these situations will help you to be prepared in advance for these unexpected situations.

We wish that this retreat will be equally successful and you will enjoy them just like the participants in previous retreats.

8. Universal adaptor or travel adapter for India
9. Anti-Diarrhea tablets (99% that nothing will happen but just in case for emergency)
10. Your own special tea or coffee with electric kettle (If necessary)
11. We will strongly encourage you to buy bottled drinking water in India for consumption. A 1-Litre bottled water is about $1.00. This is safer for consumption.
