Detailed Syllabus
UAT 101— Ayurveda Fundamentals topic further explores the concepts of the 3 doshas, 7 Dhatus, Agni and the Marma Points. Deeper knowledge of these fundamentals allow students to properly understand the concepts that are pertinent to the practice of Ayurveda.
UAT 102— This chapter on Panchakarma goes into further detail on the bio-purification methods used in Ayurveda to manage chronic conditions and bring balance back to the body’s Agni. It describes the steps, methods, benefits and herbs used for each action.
UAT 103— Common Ailments as per Ayurveda explores and introduces how various common ailments are caused in the body by learning about Samprapti which is the pathogenesis of Issuesformation.
UAT 104— Diet & Nutrition explores and explains how diet and nutrition is necessary to support good digestion in the body as per Ayurveda. It will introduce how the 3 doshas can be balanced if one eats according to their Prakruti to nurture their own unique nature for proper nourishment and vitality.
UAT 105— Abhyanga & Marma Points will explore the therapeutic massage techniques used in Ayurveda that focus on activating & stimulating the 107 Marma points in the body for the body to detoxify & rejuvenate itself. These techniques help promote wellness from within the body.
UAT 106— Herbology is a major portion of Ayurveda that is used to understand the potency and effects of various herbs used for medicine preparation. This topic explores the effects of herbs on the doshas and conditions. Concept of Yoga & Panchakosha introduces the 5 layers of the body & mind that are interrelated to each other in Yoga. Each layer represents the various facets of an individual from the gross to the sublet body. Each layer is needed to maintain the mind-body balance.
UAT 107— Bhaisajya Kalpana covers various methods on medicine preparation in Ayurveda. It covers pastes, powders, decoctions made from infusing, extracting and mixing various types of medicines for common ailments.
UAT108 – UAT111:These topics introduce the various ways to prepare herbal tonics for common ailments. Ayurveda uses herbs in many ways through formulations from infusions, to fermented decoctions.
UAT112— Sandhi & Koshtha are the concepts of Joints & Spaces in the body that hold various organs and systems together. This chapter explores how the doshas have their effects on the joints & systems through the 6 stages of Issuesprogression also known as Samprapti.
UAT113— Scriptural Definition of Yoga teaches students about the practice of Yoga that leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind and body, Man & Nature.
UAT114— of Body, Health & Issuesintroduces how the Body-Mind complex balance is important for the maintenance of health & the prevention of Disease.

UAT117— Karma Yoga is the path of unselfish action. It teaches that a spiritual seeker should act according to dharma, without being attached to the fruits or personal consequences. Karma Yoga, states the Bhagavad Gita, purifies the mind.
UAT118— Jnana Yoga is the intellectual path of scriptures and self-study, considered to be one of the most direct and yet challenging means of spiritual development.
UAT119— Raja yoga is declared as the goal where one experiences nothing but the bliss of the undisturbed, the natural state of calm, serenity, peace, communion within and contentment.
UAT120— Anatomy & Physiology covers the mechanisms of each systems in the human body.
UAT121— Students will learn about Common Ailments with Pathogenesis & complementary Managements. This includes study of the effects of dosha accumulation, and various herbs that can be helpful with management and complementary Management.
UAT122— Students are required to observe and share the root cause, results of complementary Managements for various conditions in a class setting using the concepts of Samprapti, Panchakosha and Yoga Therapy.
UAT123— Students will learn the various asanas, pranayama and meditation practices to manage various conditions depending the severity. It allows for complementary Management session to be comprehensive and holistic working on the Mind-Body complex.
UAT124— Field Training is required to be completed by all students. It is an immersive hands-on clinical experience that will introduce basic therapy techniques, herbal medicines & supplements to study the etiology of selected diseases using the basic concepts and foundational knowledge of Ayurveda. All students are required to handle 10 cases on their own, learn about the herbs, root cause and how it is managed with complementary Management, meditation and diet & nutrition.
