Paramahansa Samsthana (paramhansa.in) is a non-profit organization registered under section 44 of MPR act 1973 that works for the customization in the traditional educational system and reorienting it to Indian culture and traditions. Four different institutes work in four different streams of education which includes Herbal pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, ayurveda, Yoga, and forestry. Starting to first aid to the short term and long term certificate and diploma level courses taught. Apart from education, it has the facility for catering with in-house facilities in its premise. Not only formal education but also the spiritual education and sadhna are the part of education where the students are asked to go to the Ashram premise inside the forest area under the lap of nature called Darkundi Ashram. The discourse and teaching are done by hon’ble swami ji Sri Sri 1008 Sri Swami Sacchidanandji Maharaj.

Yoga Alliance (YA- www.yogaalliance.org ) is the largest nonprofit association representing yoga teachers, schools and studios in the U.S. Through their work and the work of their sister organization, Yoga Alliance Registry, they exist to sustain and support the field of yoga instructor course/yoga teacher training. It does so by providing the public with a registry of teachers and schools whose training meets their standards, and by supporting yoga teachers, schools and studios in their work as yoga professionals.

Yoga Alliance is a 501(c)(6) professional and trade association that supports the yoga profession and business. They serve teachers, schools and studios through educational events, including online workshops and an annual conference. They also provide member benefits with the aim of helping yoga professionals to find a little more sattva, or balance, in their lives, aiding their work in the yoga community. Yoga Alliance Registry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to ensure knowledgeable instruction and training programs can be found by yoga students. Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs) whose training and experience meet our minimum standards, along with Registered Yoga Schools (RYSs) whose curriculum meet our minimum standards, are listed on their online directory for one-year terms. This Registry, which is a voluntary international credentialing system, is widely recognized as the premier form of recognition given to a yoga teacher or school. Over 39,000 yoga teachers and more than 2,500 yoga schools are registered with Yoga Alliance Registry.

Yoga Instructor Course (YIC) is registered with Yoga Australia. Yoga Australia is a voluntary, not-for-profit association, incorporated in 1999 (originally known as the Yoga Teachers Association), by a group of independent yoga teachers who recognised the need to bring yoga teachers together from all different traditions, styles and backgrounds, to provide mutual support and professional recognition of yoga in Australia.

Yoga Australia is also recognised as the peak advocacy organisation for yoga teachers in Australia. Its mission is to promote the values and benefits of yoga, and to support teaching yoga as a profession. Members of the Association’s Executive Committee are available to provide information or resources to the media, medical and health professionals, educational organisations and the general public

Union Yoga Ayurveda is a member school of International Association of Yoga Therapist- IAYT from USA.

We are approved professional development APD – IAYT school in Singapore. Students who are interested in education of Yoga therapy are allowed to be enrolled in our course. Students can get certification of 30 hours, 250 hours of IAYT – APD from our school. Currently, we are the first and only school of IAYT – APD in Singapore, and in South East Asia.

Our Certifications are from India, also from international Association of therapist – IAOTH of European Union and are internationally recognised. Students who have been already having IAYT accreditation certification can also do continue education in other school to upgrade themselves by doing APD – IAYT certification under our school.

We are not offering IAYT accredited certification of 800 hours and above from IAYT at this point of time.

IAYT membership is open to Yoga practitioners, Yoga teachers, Yoga therapists, Yoga researchers and healthcare practitioners who utilize Yoga in their practice. Current membership (c. 2009) is approximately, 2,600. Membership has tripled since the IAYT renewal in 2004. IAYT also serves members, the media, and the general public as a comprehensive source of information about contemporary Yoga education, research, and statistics. IAYT was founded in 1989 by Larry Payne, PhD, and Richard Miller, PhD, and had well-known Yoga teacher Lilias Folan as its honorary president for many years. Since its establishment, IAYT has consistently championed the cause of Yoga as a healing art through conferences, an annual journal, a newsletter and, more recently, a growing website and a professional referral service. In 1999, IAYT was dissolved as an independent nonprofit corporation and operated as a special division of Yoga Research and Education Center (YREC) under the overall leadership of Georg Feuerstein, PhD, an internationally respected Yoga scholar and author as well as the founder and former president of YREC. Larry Payne continued as director, with administrative and managing editor responsibilities assumed by Trisha Lamb. IAYT’s consists of Board of Directors who regulates the council. The Advisory Council provides representation for most of the major Yoga traditions in the West, as well as active Yoga researchers and health care professionals. An editorial board and peer review panel for the annual International Journal of Yoga Therapy was established in 2005 which publishes research based scientific evidences of yoga therapy. IAYT’s new tri-annual publication, Yoga Therapy Today ( originally titled Yoga Therapy in Practice) was launched in September 2005. IAYT also hosts Symposium on Yoga Therapy Training and Research (SYTAR) along with school Membership category. An Educational Standards Committee, composed of volunteers from IAYT Member Schools has been established in 2009 which is going to set the standard for Yoga therapists training, Yoga teacher training and education.

NATIONAL AYURVEDIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (NAMA)

UNION Yoga Ayurveda, Singapore is now the Registered Educational Member of National Ayurvedic Medical Association, USA.

The National Ayurvedic Medical Association represents the Ayurvedic profession in the United States of America. Founded in 1998 and incorporated in 2000, the organization’s purpose is to provide leadership within the Ayurvedic community and to promote a positive vision for Ayurveda and its holistic approach to health and wellness. Its mission includes preserving, improving, and promoting the science and practice of Ayurveda for the benefit of humanity. NAMA values the input of all schools in the process of determining the direction the profession moves. It is NAMA’s eventual goal to turn over the management of the educational side of the profession to an independent organization that consists of schools. Discussions started on this plan back in 2007 and is ongoing by fixing the principles and guidelines. NAMA also offers successful Ayurvedic conferences in various cities in U.S. These have been very well attended and have offered increasing depth of knowledge for our developing professionals. Every year like-minded people come together, attend various lectures and seminars, buy Ayurvedic products from various Ayurvedic Sponsors and Exhibitors. It is a wonderful and cheerful Ayurvedic “Satsang”. NAMA has various committees which form the key working units of the organization. These include Membership, Standards, Communications, Ethics, Nominating/Elections and Conference/Event Planning Committees. Other committees are established as needed for the effective work of the organization. One of NAMA’s prime goals is to support Ayurvedic education and the resulting professional practices. NAMA’s Standards Committee has been very active in surveying Ayurvedic education and setting standards for NAMA Professional members. There are about 30 Ayurvedic schools, offering programs throughout the country. Additionally, NAMA seeks to support the profession of Ayurveda and works to increase visibility and opportunity for Ayurvedic professionals.
