Note: The below mentioned syllabus is full syllabus and once the entire syllabus is taught / done with field training and with completed formalities, then it means the course hours are completed already. Hours are not counted after completing every topic each time.

Registration fees charged by Union is not related to membership fees collected by Yoga Alliance registry or any member school for their registry which have to be paid to them after certification. Student after certification from Union have to register saperately by making saperate payment to them directly.

Course Details
Throughout the decennial progress of yoga education, there are students who are still lacking the basic information and knowledge of yoga therapy. At the same time, beginners in yoga are not capable to engulf all those higher Ayurveda is always with her Vedic sister called Yoga which is very helpful as therapy
Yoga therapy could be called as a system of health care that helps treat human indispositions as naturally as possible, to alleviate pain and suffering through set of exercises, both physical and mental. terminologies of yoga therapy with tongue twisting medical terminlologies. On account of that experts in Yoga and Ayurveda finally came to a conclusion to develop a basic course of Ayurveda & Yoga which can be a baby step to move ahead in the field of holistic approach of eastern therapy based practices. This can lay a foundation for the further studies in yoga therapy and can help the students to grasp the information fastly and effectively. This call for the foundation training course named as Ayurveda-Yoga therapy Foundation Course (AYFC) where we can make Yoga teachers understood to beginners and can make yoga practitioners understand the basics of yoga. The next level after this foundation course can be Certificate of Ayurveda Therapy (CAT) or Certificate of Yoga Therapy (CYT).
Detailed Syllabus
UAYTFC101:History of Ayurveda introduces the origins of Ayurveda as written in the Vedas. It also introduces the 3 main reference books in Ayurveda from Charaka, Shustura & Vaghbata.
UAYTFC102: Ashtanga Ayurveda is known as the 8 Branches of Ayurveda. This topic will introduce and briefly explore the various areas of specialization according to the practices of Ayurveda.
UAYTFC103: Basic Concepts of Ayurveda introduces the basic fundamentals of the 5 Elements, 3 Doshas, 7 Dhatus, and Malas. Knowledge in this topic aims to give a better understanding of the relationship between the Body, Mind & Universe through the lens of Ayurveda.
UAYTFC104: Prakruti is known as the Human Constitution. This topic will introduce and explain how Ayurveda recognizes each being as unique using the principles of the 5 elements & 3 doshas. It explains body type, tendencies, personality & mental capabilities.
UAYTFC105: Ama & Agni is the concept of Health & Issuesin Ayurveda. This topic will introduce how these concepts are unique to Ayurveda. It emphasizes the importance of Agni for the maintenance of health, prevention of disease, and the elimination of toxins.
UAYTFC106: Panchakarma Therapy explores the 5 main actions in Ayurveda that are selected and performed based on the individual’s Prakruti. This topic introduces the process of Panchakarma, its benefits, and contraindications..
UAYTFC107: Dinacharya is the Daily Routines in Ayurveda. This chapter explains how each practice helps in the maintenance of health, preservation of blissful senses, and promotion of natural elimination by following the Circadian Rhythm.
UAYTFC108: Ritucharya is the Seasonal Routines in Ayurveda. This topic gives an introduction into the 6 seasons as per Ayurveda, the lifestyle & diet routines to observe with each seasonal change for timely cleansing to promote positive health.
UAYTFC109: Shadrasa known as the 6 Tastes in Ayurveda introduces the use of flavor and qualities in food & medicine to bring the body into a state of balance.
UAYTFC110: Ayurveda Herbal Home Remedies for Common Ailments will briefly cover the basic use and benefits of everyday spices for common conditions such as Nasal congestion, eye irritation, constipation, etc.
UAYTFC111: Field Training is required to be completed by all students. It is an immersive hands-on clinical experience that will introduce basic therapy techniques, herbal medicines & supplements to study the etiology of selected diseases using the basic concepts and foundational knowledge of Ayurveda.
UAYTFC112: Concept of Body, Health & Issuesintroduces how the Body-Mind complex balance is important for the maintenance of health & the prevention of Disease.
UAYTFC113: Concept of Yoga & Panchakosha introduces the 5 layers of the body & mind that are interrelated to each other in Yoga. Each layer represents the various facets of an individual from the gross to the sublet body. Each layer is needed to maintain the mind- body balance.
UAYTFC114: Asthma the Issues will cover the causes, triggers and mechanism that is affected in the Asthma condition.
UAYTFC115: Yoga Therapy for Asthma introduces various practices for management of the condition, improving breathing capacity along with selected meditation practices to improve, relax & strengthen the respiratory system.
UAYTFC116: The Backpain chapter gives an introduction into the various causes for back pain, the triggers, and causes for this condition in varying degrees of seriousness.
UAYTFC117: Yoga Therapy for Back Pain focuses on managing conditions of the neck, spine and lower back. It introduces various relaxation, breathing & passive asana, pranayama & meditation practices to relieve pain and strengthen muscles around the spine for a stronger back.
UAYTFC118: Arthritis happens when there is wear and tear. This chapter briefly explores the causes for this condition and how it affects the body.
UAYTFC119: Yoga Therapy for Arthritis introduces loosening and strengthening practices combined with Meditation & Pranayama to improve mobility, reduce inflammation and slow down the rate of wear & tear between the joints.
UAYTFC120: Gastrointestinal Issuess are common in modern times. Managing digestion is key to good health. This chapter briefly introduces and explains the various causes for gastrointestinal Issuess.
UAYTFC121: Yoga for GID focuses on conditions such as Diarrhea, Constipation, IBS and other gut-related conditions. This set of practices combine Pranayama, Meditation and Asana practice for the respective conditions based on the severity and root causes.
UAYTFC122: Students will learn about the various meditation & cleansing techniques to manage health, wellness & illnesses.
UAYTFC123: Field Training is required to be completed by all students. It is an immersive hands-on clinical experience that will introduce basic yoga therapy techniques, meditation, Pranayama & asana to study the etiology of selected diseases using the basic concepts and foundational knowledge of Yoga Therapy.

Fixed a Date for Exam Details
- Plan for completion of course and exam well in advance. Absence in classes or missing the lessons is solely the responsibility of student.
- Booking exam date needs 30 days in advance.
- If 30 days of booking the exam exceeds the max time limit of course, then school is not responsible. Student have to plan their course keeping last 30 days of exam in advance.
- One time fixing a date of exam is FREE because it’s been added in registeration fees paid during starting of course.
- Any change in date after first fixing of date will add extra cost of $125 each for theory and $125 for Practical.
- Death of near and dear ones, Medical emergency with proof, Natural calamity are exceptions.
- Recording and Submission of Video
For students safety, the video has to be recorded on a device brought by student and she/he has to upload the link on Google drive and have to share to Unionyogaayurveda@gmail.com and mysilentyogi@gmail.com within 5 working days.
- Additionally, the student has to submit a copy of video by using flash drive to exam centre under supervision of internal examiner within 5 working days.
- Late submission will be considered as exam cancelled and later have to start the process from first step of booking the exam.
Evaluation
- 50% of marks from Internal examiner.
- 50% of marks from external examiner.
- Both are added to make final marks. In short, average of internal and external examination is final marks or final grade.
- Evaluation is done based on your clear instructions, corrections, questions and answers, usage of sanskrit terms and correct english names with indication, contraindications with subtle points mentioned in Yellow practical book.
- The expectation of knowledge while evaluation from Internal and external examiner may vary because of which there can be difference in marks and final grades also dependent on average of marks given by internal and external examiners.
Grades
- Students who are unsatisfied by lower grades can ask for recounting and re-evaluation by another examiner by giving official request and payment of fees:~Re-evaluation $125 for theory and $125 for Practical.~Re-Counting $75 for theory and $75 for Practical.
- Recounting or Re-evaluation and payment of fees doesn’t means the grades will go higher. It’s a evaluation or counting done by another examiner which may result to increase or decrease or no change in grades. This requires max extra 30 days from the date of application of re-evaluation or recounting.
